Posted August 5, 200915 yr Greg built a bit more onto my breeding it is now 30 ft long and only about 6 feet wide which I would love it wider but that is never going to happen as the fence is in the way and I needed a walk way so visitors don't track through my baby aviary. It is nothing flash but it does the job Here are some pics This the start of the new part I lined the walls and roof with builders styrofoam "the one that has silver on one side and green on the other" and then lined it the walls and ceiling panels. This is part of the original breeding room looking into the baby aviary and new part Still the old part showing the hospital area haven't finished putting perches in all the cages yet or the perspex on the front half of the cages Still the old area New part New part looking into the baby aviary Still new part thinking of making that brown book case into breeding boxes Yes my trophy cabinet, that is only some of my prizes, the rest our in the house
August 5, 200915 yr One day.. one day... Very nice splat Hope you get some great use out of all that! One day I will have a lovely big set up and lots of wonderful birds. For now im happy to plod along with a few birds here and there while i study
August 5, 200915 yr Author Thanks Dean but it is really very ordinary compared to some people but it does the job. But it is good have the extra bit as there is more room to move around. But a lot more walking so I am trying to get 2 of evertthing so I don't have to running back to the first room to get things because it's a pain because IU have to walk through the baby aviary but it is making them very quite with me in there a hundred times a day. WOW!! Looks great!!!! Love all your trophies and prizes! B) Love the trophies too Liv, the one in the middle is the Best violet at the young bird shield. and the rossette above it is the national team rossette
August 5, 200915 yr Author Thanks Kaz yes it's really good the little window is my peek hole so I can see who's coming up the drive way place a lot of wind comes in that little window so I can open it to let extra air in when it suits. BUT in the summer that wall gets really hot but with the insulation I have stopped that.
October 25, 200915 yr How are you finding summer temperatures in there Splat, with that nice insulation ?
October 25, 200915 yr Author It's not bad at all Kaz because it's on the other side of the big garage of Gregs, the Garage seems to block that awful after noon sun, so really it's better there in the breeding room than the birds out in the aviary. We are just starting to finish the roof to block out more heat.
