Posted April 17, 200520 yr Well my first week with Sparki has gone really well, he comes out of the cage on my finger and will sit on my finger and sometimes shoulder while I am on the computer. Any sudden movements or noises and he flies off around the room. He is happy to get back onto my finger again though. He is now sat on one of my childrens heads he he. I took him away in the caravan in a smaller cage and he was really good. He had a lot of time out of the cage with me and liked to fly around. We are home now and had a good time. We are coming on really well together. Does anyone know if he will get used to movements and sounds and it freaks him out, but then he is still new to the family. regards appy arry
April 17, 200520 yr Yes I am sure he will get used to new sounds,I suppose a lot depends on your family life,if it is usually quite noisy and active as most are, then he should get used to things. Any sudden loud noise still frightens my two though,if I drop something or something falls over ,so it's good to be aware of them in that sense. Julie
April 17, 200520 yr im sure he will settle down lovely. i find that the noiser our house is the happier rocky is. And he LOVES kids. He seems magnitised to their heads. juse keep living as usual. He will become accustomed to family living. Glad the trip went well. It makes me smile to think of a travelling budgie. If you take him regularly he will get used to it i suppose. It will become second nature to him.
April 17, 200520 yr Thats great news that you and Sparki are doing well, I guess your Sparki is better behaved then mine then. and yes your budgie will get use to the sounds around the house he just needs to get use to them. Good luck with the bonding
