I will take your word for it They are just birds from the local pet shop .

Nice birds. A suggestion...remove any underaged birds from the aviary or they will breed younger than they should by the mere presence of nestboxes. Underaged is any younger than 12 months. Do you have a cage for your youngsters ?

No I don't have a seperate cage for the young ones

at the monent I would not know what I was looking for to tell their age .

I will get there in the end

First sign, is youngsters with fully barred heads (Bars all the way to their cere)

and iris rings..........if they have iris rings that are greyish or light brownish and not full white they are too young.

I don't know yet as this is the first year that I have tried to bred budgies , a couple of years ago I bred finches , So I am waiting to see what I get out of the eggs in the boxes , at the moment I will be happy to see what colours they turn out .

I will put up pics when they hatch.
