August 3, 200915 yr Nice birds. A suggestion...remove any underaged birds from the aviary or they will breed younger than they should by the mere presence of nestboxes. Underaged is any younger than 12 months. Do you have a cage for your youngsters ? Edited August 3, 200915 yr by KAZ
August 4, 200915 yr Author No I don't have a seperate cage for the young ones at the monent I would not know what I was looking for to tell their age . I will get there in the end Ross

August 4, 200915 yr and iris rings..........if they have iris rings that are greyish or light brownish and not full white they are too young.

August 4, 200915 yr Author I don't know yet as this is the first year that I have tried to bred budgies , a couple of years ago I bred finches , So I am waiting to see what I get out of the eggs in the boxes , at the moment I will be happy to see what colours they turn out . I will put up pics when they hatch. Ross
