Didn't see your post, wasn't ignoring it or anything. okay, I can't be of much use I'm afraid as I've not experienced anything like it. However, I have heard anecdotally of a hen that went round and round in circles and then started to have fits: she had a tumor on the brain and eventually died.
August 1, 200915 yr this problem is a toughie...do you know how hes going now??? i am getting a bit worried try reasearching on google something like budgie ear infectiions...i might try that now for you *Update there isnt much on google on bird had a flakiy ear and it kept yawning as though it was trying to unblock its ear??? is that similar? if it is this girl had to give it alot of vegies, painkillers probiotics and stuff you get from the vet which is a shame because you cant get to the vet There seems to be alot about yawning meaning ear infections but no fits with it. August 1, 200915 yr I can't be of any help, sorry... but if you think the light is effecting him, perhaps put him in a warm room with a cover on the cage, to keep it dark. Warmth from a lamp is usually recommended for a sick bird, but if your computer light sets him off, I wouldn't use a lamp. Good luck and please keep us updated. August 2, 200915 yr I am real sorry I cant be of help. Its beyond my area of expertise. BUT I would send Chrysocome a PM if I was you .....for advice.
August 2, 200915 yr i am hoping he i still okay gb and has been okay through the night...is any pictures or videos you can show us ??
August 2, 200915 yr Sorry I really can't suggest anything that will help. I hope that you can find out what is causing the problem before it is too late. Have the vets opened so that you can take him for their opinion? Good luck
August 2, 200915 yr If you say there is something in his ear that is moving, i would suspect ear lice or even a worm... i have pulled a worm for the third eye lid of a bird before. I would treat him with ivermectin to the back of the neck and a drop of moxidictin (or equivalent wormer) to the beak, The fits could be from the horrible feeling of something being in the ear Edited August 2, 200915 yr by **Liv**

LOL

August 3, 200915 yr Sorry to hear about the loss of this young one. It does seem quite unusual what you have described. Please keep us all informed on the outcome of the autopsy.
