Posted July 21, 200915 yr Hi Guys, Thought i would touch base seeing i have not been around much lately. I still get on and browse now and then but have been busy. In the last few months my husband and i have renovate our kitchen, we pulled the old one out and built a new one. We have also built a new reptile enclosure for my son's lizard. My youngest son is having issues adjusting to going to school , any changes in his routine affect him so i have been doing research and trying different things to help him. He is due to go back to the pedatrician next month who will talk about what options we have for him. I have also had a lady contact me who has to give up her budgies and would like to give them all to me so today i will receive 15 budgies and then in a few more weeks i will get more from her, she has some with babies at the moment. I have had to tidy up my enclosed room at the back of my house to make room to quarantine them and i am starting to work on making my avairy bigger to accomodate them. So i have been fairly busy lately, i have added photos of my new kitchen, turned out pretty good. Reptile enclosure
July 21, 200915 yr Deb, great to hear from you. The new kitchen looks awesome. I have to say, that yellow bench top was not the most attractive look - I love the new cupboards and the floor - very cool. Very nice reptile house. Looks great. I often wonder how Jayden is going at school. How has he adjusted? What are his teachers like? Does he have more good days then bad days? Good to hear the budgies are still around. Taking on more? Wow!! Extending the aviary - even bigger wow!! Pics of the progress would be great, if you get a chance of course. I always wonder how the ones I gave you are going. I gave away my other pet types, so now I just have show types. I hope you have seen my breeding post. Of the four that I got from you, I left Earl and Latte (the grey pair) together and they have 2 young of their own, and one foster baby. The foster baby actually belongs to Cino. She lost 2 young ones due to some type of infection, I think it was form her crop milk, so I fostered her youngest and her remaining fertile egg out. Both young have hatched and are doing well. The only one that has not bred is Midori, and he is on the cards to go down with a mate soon. You can read my breeding thread HERE Great to hear from you.
July 22, 200915 yr Your new kitchen is great Deb You must be real happy with that. Enthusiastic to cook up some great meals in there. Love the pik with your puppy. I have so missed you on here. I have had a feeling you have been gathering some inner strength of late. With knowledge and wisdom comes strength and will see you overcome any trials with Jaydens school issues. Biggest hugs Deb

Biggest hugs Deb  Thanks Kaz, have been spending lots of time lately trying to find the strength to cope with Jadon, it was much easier last year having him at home, now i have to deal with school issues and home problems. I have been enjoying the kitchen, much nicer to work in. My new budgies have arrived, some have health issues but i can fix them. I got given 18 and there is a beautiful lutino male which i have always wanted one.
July 22, 200915 yr Its great to hear from you again Deb. I have been hoping you are well. Love the new kitchen! My mum used to have orange bench tops and a friend of mine used to have blue ones - gotta love the bright colours of the 60's - 70's (NOT!!) haha. Great to see you back and all the best with your new budgies  Edited July 22, 200915 yr by **Liv**
August 30, 200915 yr Author Back again, my life still is very hectic, in the last month i have had several meetings with Jadons teacher and had another appointment with his pedatrician who has realised that Jadon has ADHD as well as the Aspergers but because he is still young he will not medicate him so we have to learn how to cope with him as he is. I have also just put 6 pairs together for breeding , my camera is broke so i cannot take photos but i am hoping it all goes easier this time for me.
