July 16, 200915 yr Hate to rain on your parade guys but this is a texas clearbody either in greywing or cinnamon form. I've seen cinnamon texas clearbody before and this one looks more like a greywing rather than a cinnamon just due to the colouring in the photo but might just be the way the picture looks. The giveaway is the fadeout of the barring from the head (stronger darker barring colour) to the flight tips which end up that grizzled look. The suffusion on the rump parts too. Just a more diluted version of a normal TCB. Definitely no spangle matt. not raining on my parade nubbly 5 i didnt think it was cinnamon and that would make cence why it was grey on back like i said so thats a very good call but i dont know i thought black eye self (clear) as they got faded markings not cinn but you are better at dignostic vishuals than me so ... looks like its a texis clear body just chest is not faded thats why i didnt call that
July 17, 200915 yr In greywing or cinnamon form the bodycolour will be more diluted than normal so the faded colouring on the chest is not as evident. You can see suffusion on the rump of this hen and the fading barring is really typical of TCB. I breed blackeyed selfs and they are quite different to this bird. Much more even colouring body wise and markings too - lighter but more even. This is quite an unusual combination of varieties - not a very common bird!!! Edited July 17, 200915 yr by nubbly5

July 20, 200915 yr Author hi the first bird is the one you identified for me as a lacewing the other one is the one i need help with now please the eyes are black white ring i found out when caught the other two ARE texas clearbodys
July 22, 200915 yr Yours! Greywing and clearbody is not a combination of varieties you might see all that often as most people would not combine a sex linked variety with a recessive variety. And I'm reasonably sure it's greywing clearbody and not cinnamon clearbody....... do you have greywings in your flock as well as clearbodies? and is there a chance that you have combined the 2 varieties?

And I'm reasonably sure it's greywing clearbody and not cinnamon clearbody....... do you have greywings in your flock as well as clearbodies? and is there a chance that you have combined the 2 varieties? yes my flock has a lot of greywing types my favorite are the blues but see some ive put up in the sale section im not sure about the clearbodies what are they i just put together what i think might throw nice babies so i probably did but can i just say the birds colour is so much like the lacewing in real life brighter than photo they look like twins exept the eyes photo is not good i have some very nice coloured texas without colours running if thats the right word well i think so anyway and i also have some poor coloured ones there is two of those on the add too i do not breed them with anything other than the same the birds i know for sure what they are i dont pair up to diffrent and now that im learning what linked and recessive pairing types ect wouldnt do that either is it a bad thing to do i just realized you mean texas clearbodies well i can tell you they most definly donot go near my greywings of any sort i breed them pure getting brighter coloured birds so its still a mystry unless they mated in the flight with something and then ive put them in the breeding cage thank you for help nubbly Edited July 22, 200915 yr by ghazzigh
