and albino cock and lacewing hen layed an egg today

chicks have a box down bottom mum has the original box high up in cage

chicks getting removed in few days time but dad feeding still and mum is busy sitting on her egg

so.........

another chick today

thats 4 all up so far 3 in dom pie nest

1 in cin dom pie

 

this was the first chick hatched will get pics of new ones tomorrow and post soon

you can see their was one infertile egg in cin doms nest with the picture i took its the one i marked

so i knew what was first egg layed

i have written when due but just trying something out so.................

my lacewing pairs have 4 eggs for lacewing x grey

and 2 eggs for lacewing x albino cock today

im crossing fingers on them

 

my chicks came out fully from my other nests

and my grey spangle x opaline spangle have layed another egg today so... second round beginning she looks good so will allow it but only will let her raise 2 chicks other eggs will be fostered

yes thats right 5 in the nest with the chick (seven eggs in it ) and the other nest with 7 the other chick and mum i think they will all hatch not just 4 as they all on time and all looking very good

 

my splat hen has one definitely one to hatch and one with a few vains the rest nothing

 

i havent disturbed my lacewings i will look at how many eggs later this week 4 last look and two

with her sister

 

my dom hen they all look clear 6 eggs she has

 

but will see and my df dom all but 2 out of the seven look to be hatching very soon

she had seven eggs

 

and two with grey spangle she has wasted no time laying again

 

5 chicks last look but didnt check tonight

okay so im still very unwell and cant go near birdsmuch as dont want to get them sick

but

i have 3 chicks with dom pie x violet with their last 3 eggs going to the mauve hen as her eggs were infertile all 6

so far one chick from dom pie x violet has hatched under her

 

the cin opaline dom pie x sky norm / opaline / rec pie

they have 3 hatched out and the other three given also to the dom mauve pie to raise and hatch

one being hatched under her last night ,so mauve has two chicks one from both sisters so far hatched and 4 left to hatch

 

splat hen has two eggs that are viable due anyday now

 

df dom has three chicks out off her seven eggs so far

 

lacewing has 4 eggs due next week early

two viable

 

lacewing 1151 has 4 eggs 4th layed yesterday

 

so so far i have

11 chicks

one opaline dom pie cinnamon

the rest bit young to tell but have at least 3 dom pie chicks so far so far 2 are normal the rest cinn and all seem to be opaline so far not to sure very young yet

they only just 1 to 10 days old

thank you i have been very sick for some time now and really dont want my birds to contract it from me

i have got blood test yesterday and sad thing is the birds could be part of the cause

my familey has allergys to lots of thing and well mine have been worse and getting worse every year more so since i started breeding again my brother cant even visit me as he is highly alergic to my birds and has heart pulptations and cant breath when he goes near my back yard

i have had very symulor symptoms of late so....fingers crossed

going to get some pics now while sun is out

2 more chicks hatched from the eggs fostered to dom pie mauve hen today so she has 4 babys now with to eggs left to hatch

 

lacewing seems to have all infertile eggs 1151

but 1128 has two to hatch

 

splats due in day or two i hope

babys are so far

4 dom pies ,1 pos rec pied if not 5 doms the wee babys are but two days and one day old so ...

 

df babys only few days also but one cinn, opaline still 3 chicks today

okay cin dom pie x sky blue boy

at start

then i took 3 eggs and gave to mauve dom to hatch

therir are more babys but no room to post pics

so the mauve dom hatched all her foster eggs ,three from dom x violet ,and three times cin dom x sky

 

and the df cin dom and gf opaline sky spangle

hatched 4 chicks so far

 

splat hens seen not to be hatched yet so ??? i gsve her a hatchling from this morn and the df doms other two eggs just so she can have chicks if her two eggs dont hatch

 

lacewing still not due yet

okay so this update is well and truley over due

 

i ended up with

19 pet type chicks

all 7 of the dom gf cobalt hens hatched

6 of the cinn opaline gf dom hens hatched

6 of the df dom cin opalines hatched

 

none of my fostered show eggs hatched and i killed my lacewings two chicks

i wont put up pics as they will be in the for sale soon anyhow
