Posted July 10, 200915 yr I had just a breeding couple from a breeder here in colorado usa. They seem to be busy in and out of my nestbox already.I am excited to see them breed. The cock spends most of his time in the nestbox whilethe female goes in and out. What colors could I get from Normal green male and olive green female? Is this normal behavior of a breeding couple?I will keep you updated
July 11, 200915 yr Welcome to the forum!!! it is a good sign for the budgies to inspect and getting used to the feel of the nest box. if the olive budgie is definetly the darkest green you will get 100 % laurel budgies, which is the middle shade of green as you get light, laurel then olive. However, the budgies you might have might be "split" for something which means in their genes probably other colours such as blue, opaline etc. and you cant tell much of what is hidden by the birds out ward appearance. Hope that helps
July 12, 200915 yr welcome! Your budgies are displaying the best behaviour possible if you want to breed them! hehe
