July 1, 200915 yr Hey Shannon, Are the birds in pair 6 bush budgies? (sorry if that's a rude question and they are supposed to be, you know, like, top birds......... ) Love the lacewing hen in pair 1 - such a lovely long bird.
July 1, 200915 yr Author Hey Are the birds in pair 6 bush budgies?yes sorry i forgot about putting that sorry if that's a rude questionno that is not a rude question Love the lacewing hen in pair 1 - such a lovely long bird. yes she is a long bird but bad markings do you think i shod pair here to this cock Edited July 1, 200915 yr by KAZ
July 2, 200915 yr No I don't think so Shannon. Is she an opaline? If so probably part of the reason for poor markings (opalines often end up smudgy with a big thumb print in th side of the wing) so pairing her to a normal is the right way to go plus you want to take advantage of her length and add some directional feather and feather on the top end. The cock you have chosen is better than the LW cock IMO but I would be looking for more feather still especially directional feather, top and blow. Edited July 2, 200915 yr by nubbly5

July 27, 200915 yr Your budgies are breeding very well. Do you breed them all year round, I notice you are in Mackay? My budgies are madly breeding and I'm in Sydney. I don't usually breed this time of year because it is so cold overnight. Do other breeders in southern states breed in winter?
