I have a Baby Dominant Pied Budgie born to a Normal Green cock and a Dominant Hen.

On Appearance, their cheek's are different colours. One side is blue the other is i cant remember.

Is this common? What does it mean?

Would love feedback please.

Cant post a picture just yet.

It's the pied gene. Youcan get different actions from that gene. I have a Dominant Pied cock with different colours on his cere due to the gene.

You stated 'cheeks' as in the patches on the face, yes it is very common for pied birds to have that, blue is normal and normally the other colour is white.

Yes one patch is blue and the other patch is white. So are you saying its carrying the Pied gene, does that mean its double factor, as it is a Dominant Pied bird?

not carrying the gene it is just a part of the genetics.
