For some reason, Piccolo has really taken to just jumping off his swing and crashing to the floor! It scares the living daylights out of me every time I'm not paying attention and suddenly *CRASH*!!!!

 

I don't know what's behind it, but he's really enjoying swinging on it, and then he makes it go so fast and vigorous that he's swinging from one side of the cage to the other.. and then suddenly he decides to fly off, crash to the ground, and then go back again. Never seen one do that before, it's quite funny once you get used to it

thats ace i got a bird that just drops from branch just before ground trys to fly sometimes with no luck they are beautiful little things funny and amusing

lol, you should get a video of him doing that.

I can't remember if he is clipped or not? This may be the reason, also he is still a baby and learning how to jump, I don't think it is on purpose to be honest.

I didn't think so at first either, but now I'm not so sure, because he has this specific route that he takes.... swing, jump, bounce, swing, jump, bounce... and he only does it in really playful moods. The rest of the time when he's on the swing (which is often) he doesn't usually fall off.

 

But yes he is clipped, so you may be right...
