My budgerigar has strangely started to stand on one leg from a few weeks...is this okay or an exorbitant behavior?or due to illness..I'm worried..please help!

Good sign... sick birds usually perch on both feet, are fluffed up and have a pooey bottom. If your bird doesn't have any of those symptoms, I wouldn't be worried! :question:

Budgies usually do this when they are settling down for a nap or talking to themselves or another budgie quiety, it is time of rest when they do this also.

Two legs are needed for take off when they want to fly away. If she (or he) is putting one leg up it means she's comfortable :rofl:

 

If she is using it normally otherwise when she is getting around, and only puts her leg up when resting, then it's perfectly normal and a sign that she is feeling safe and comfortable.
