Posted June 13, 200916 yr Hi All, Can anyone tell me if, BRUSH BOX OR (LOPHOSTOMEN CONFERTA) Branch's AND/OR Foliage, are safe for Budgies. Checked on search but didn't find it listed. It's supposed to be native to east coast Aus. Didn't want to chance it without more info. Any help would be appreciated. many thanks, Robyn
June 13, 200916 yr It says it's also known as Queensland Brush Box. I tried a quick search, but found nothing. I have to go out but will look again later. Maybe the QLD members might know. My policy is if I can't find any info regarding it, I don't give it to them.
June 13, 200916 yr I think that's what my mum gives hers because she has lots of brush boxes in her yard and uses branches off her native trees. But even if that is the case it doesn't necessarily make it safe, although if it's what she's using she hasn't had a problem. So I'd lean towards it being safe but please don't go by me! I'd want to check with someone who knows, too.
