Posted June 9, 200916 yr okay. First, I understand the importance of quarantine, and di have the best of intentions. I ahd nowhere else in the house to put another cage, so I was planning on having the new budgie in a covered cage on the other side of the room for the quaratine period. Best I could do. However, Minx has found a way to escape from her cage, and was over socialising with the new arrival when I got home yesterday, so any quarantine was shot. I couldn't catch her, so I ended up putting them both in together to stop her escaping, after a LOT of time spent trying to catch either/both of them. I am aware that I may lose both birds if the new one is carrying something, but I have accepted the risk and moved on. I think she is a hen, if i'm wrong, feel free to correct. I was also thinking normal recessive pied, again, feel free to correct! So, without further ado this is (for now) Pickle: http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee184/w...ot/104_0260.jpg http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee184/w...ot/104_0264.jpg http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee184/wild_spot/Birds.jpg http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee184/w...ot/104_0269.jpg http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee184/w...ot/untitled.jpg Argh! June 10, 200916 yr Thanks for changing the photos to links. You have a recessive pied light green hen.
June 10, 200916 yr Author Thanks everyone! I really was annoyed about having to put them in together, I was also hoping to do a bit of individual taming with the new bird. But as it turns out now they are together, the new bird is tamer than Minx. She is more flighty and being very anti-social since the new bird arrived. However I did get them both to sit on my finger this morning. I never really like the green/yellow series birds, but just love Squee and her bright colours... So now I've got my own, lol. I almost bought a beautiful DF Spangle (not sure on that, looked like a creamino with black eyes) but the pet shop she was at was less reputable than the one I ended up buying from.
