Posted May 31, 200915 yr A couple of days ago, Lambchop all of a sudden wouldn't eat and you could tell he wasn't happy. He had problems getting around his Mansion aswell. I don't know what made him turn all of a sudden, one day he seemed happy and healthy, the next... Gone. I wasn't there when he passed, but my Mother-In-Law (who used to breed Budgies too) was nursing him when he passed. She said she was talking to him, and keeping him warm when he went peacefully. Looking back now, I honestly think he was well too interbred as he forever had breathing problems, his feet weren't quite right and he wasn't as perky as most Budgies are. That will be the first and last Budgie I will buy from a petshop. Goodbye my sweet little Boy... I will always have a place in my heart for you.
May 31, 200915 yr oh vixen. I am so sorry to hear you are grieving the passing of a loved bird fly free Lambchop.
May 31, 200915 yr Oh dear, what disastrous news. Yes we have all learnt the "pet shop" lesson, and quiet franquilly(however you spell it) i believe that the pet shop business should be wiped from the business system itself, and just have the private breeder's to sell their bird's and leave it at that, cause myself and ALOT of people have just about had enough of these so called "experienced" pet shop owners and their dis-concern for any living thing in the shop sorry for the outrage but im sure other's feel the same way
June 1, 200915 yr Author Thanks all I'm just so glad he passed away peacefully. My Mother in law said it's hard to describe but it was like he was holding on until he could be with someone when he passed... I keep thinking of all the little things he would do.. Like give a little squeek when I would give him scratches, or when he was on the ground I would put my hand in front of him and he would hop straight on without any reservations Bless...
