Posted May 29, 200916 yr I was spraying some Thrive on my garden and I realised that some of it would have also sprayed on the patch of Cosmo's sprouting seeds I didn't spray it directly on there but some would have definitely got on it. Can I wash the grass well and still feed it to him, or is it too risky? Should I just dig up the whole patch and start again? What do you think?
May 29, 200916 yr If it was me... I'd ditch and start again... Here's the Material Safety Data Sheet This stood out to me: Ingestion: No adverse effects expected, however large amounts may cause nausea and vomiting. Eye contact: May be an eye irritant. Skin contact: Contact with skin may result in irritation. Inhalation: Breathing in mists or aerosols may produce respiratory irritation. Even though you'd rince it... better to be safe then sorry. May 29, 200916 yr Author I thought so Darn ... it hasn't been growing too well and it took ages and has only just started growing nicely Learned my lesson
May 29, 200916 yr Rince it well and i really dont think there would be a problem. Safe is always best, but you didn't actually spray the pants... a little residue of thrive would be nothing in comparison to all the chemicals on our fruts and veggies from the shops.
May 29, 200916 yr if it was me id wash them and give them to the birds. A little bit of thrive wont hurt the birds.
