Posted May 28, 200915 yr Hi. My budgie goes on the finger (steps up), he sits on the shoulder, but he is not walking (using) flat areas (tables, etc). It is impossible to put him on table. He flies away to curtains or his playground, or looking for other staff, which looks like perch and takes a seat. How should I tame him to flat? Do you have any ideas? The wings are not clipped (and I do not want to), I have him for 2 month. Do I need to be more patient? Thanks
May 28, 200915 yr honestly, yes. I would think of what his favouite food is, then put it just out of reach of his beak, and kind of coax him off your finger onto the flat surface. Leave some of his favourite out on the flat surface. He will go there eventually. Is there any reason why he HAS to sit on a flat surface?
