Advice please. Would my budgie cock stop talking if I put another cock into the same cage? Or should I put a hen in with the cock. I dont want my budgie to stop chatting.

I've read on here that adding any other budgie to a talking male may stop it from talking as it will bond with that budgie instead of you. I've also read on here that one talking male actually taught a new male to talk, so it could go either way by the sounds of it.

If you want to get a 2nd budgie adding another male is perfect, but the honest truth is that if you add a 2nd budgie male or female the likelyhood of the 1 that talks will most likely stop because now he has someone budgie to talk too, it is a rare occasion that the 1st bird if a strong talker will teach the other bird to talk.
