Today I bought my first budgies, what type are they? (colour)

Their names are Snowy and Luna.

A bit hard to tell from the picture....

Maybe

Snowy: Double Factor Spangle and

Luna: Yellow Face Blue Spangle.

Both look female to me at this stage, better pics needed to be certain.

From the pictures I would have to agree with Linda on both varieties...

ithink snowy is a double factor spangle as mentioned before, but luna seems to be a nice greywing yellowface cobalt

NIce girls. okay. i have finalised my decision (drumroll please)

Luna is a skyblue yellowface type 1 grewing and snowy is a double factor spangle :what:

Agreed with budgiehero, now that we can see these new pictures... Still love them both though...

Luna is also spangle, but I'm not too sure about the greywing part though.

In about a month I'll take another photo of Luna- that way it might be easier to see what colour she is.

 

They are my first budgies, and they are so adorable! I love budgies now

NO WAY is Luna a greywing. Luna is a YF blue spangle and is heavily marked

Both appear to be females.

Spangle markings are dark edges to the wings like this

(spangle right and normal left )

a greywing would have markings like the NORMAL but in grey.

This bird

Has spangle markings ( in black not grey ) and they are edging the feathers like the spangle in the picture above. The only difference is LUNA is HEAVILY MARKED....not greywing.
