Just wondering when do budgies first moult and how often after that?

I think my bird is moulting now.

Although i only got him on saturday, they thought he was between 12 and 16 weeks.

He looks like he is moulting, has some patches.

Would explain the biting, although, he is still scared too.

budgies tend to mult autumn, sometimes when theyre stressed or in a new enviroment in general

Budgies also moult when their food changes. By changing the seed they are used to eating can also force a moult. This is apart from the age they normally moult as well
