Hee Hee I currently have 33 budgies and I also have Princess Parrots, Cockatiels, Superb Parrot pair and King Quails... Oh plus 2 dogs... Hmmm... May 21, 200915 yr Hello and welcome . I live in Perthas well. my goodness it has been raining alot today. I tried to clean the avairy and only happened to be half finished till i had to go inside!

Hanging off the wire, getting all wet... Poor babies... But the wind here was bad... Glad my aviaries are still standing... Was it bad where you are too?
May 21, 200915 yr Me? Well iwas at school however, when i went outside afterschool, the wind was shocking the way the wind blew the trees sounded like thunder. As for my budgies, they hid under the shady bit, but the floor was all wet which made the poo all mushy and i almost slipped! One of the nests were open because my albino likes pulling up the doors on the sides of the nests and an egg fell out lucky the cold didnt freeze the babies inside!

I told mine thats it not my fault if you catch a cold... Do you think they would listen... Nope... Sheesh... You lucky with the nest though... When they sneeze it sounds so cute. Also, a baby budgie recently came out of his nest because he was ready to but i found him on the floor this morning, on the cold, wet floor, not strong enough to fly up. I told him "poor bugger, dont come out of the nest until youre ready. its too cold today to stay out. if you want warmth and food, go to your nest" then i gave the baby a kiss(theyre so warm and cuddly!" and put him back. I think he liked that. he didnt come back out. me and the baby i put a stick between the door so that it stuck there. The albino just did it to see her owner become frustrated.

I bet she is laughing on the inside when her owner gets frustrated with her... I know my do... They look at me like "What are you doing, I spent all day doing that?" Poor silly little baby, they think they know what their doing... ... *When I'm 16 I'm leaving home, doesn't always work like that little budgie...* But I'm glad s/he is okay though...
May 22, 200915 yr Today the wind blew one of the roofs of the breeding cages. my dad called me and said: Daniela, the budgies roof has fallen off the budgie cage (my firstreaction was that it was the roof of the whole avairy and im like ) and now the budgies are all nervous". i was quick enough to find out it wasa just the mat the blew off . i went down the cold, blizzaring steps, where it was raining , shivwered and risked my life by been blown away . This is way im called Budgiehero . How about you? did you join in 2005 or sommething?

Was it bad where you are too?I spent part of the afternoon attaching some clear corrugated sheets to the perching end of my aviary to stop the rain and wind driving in there...then put some doubled up shadecloth up the other end to stop some more wind issues. And 2005 is used because that is when I got seriously into Budgies... Always had them and breed them before hand but in 2005 something went wrong in my life and my budgies were there for me... Budgies can be great friends :hb: , if you love them and take care of them with all youre heart , they will also love you back. Budgies are sometime things in peoples live that gives them somethig to think about of do when we are bored (like when i just sit there in the classroom, day dreaming ) and sad.
