ive got about a 3 week out of the nest budgie that has broken his leg so if you have any advice could you please help me out

only a vet will be able to advise you on this injury. if you can get to an avian vet they may be able to put a support on the leg or something.

he broke his leg in the breeding box but is getting a lot better

try and get to the vets asap they should make room for emergencies

i took it to a vet they said its not in any pain so its not very urgent thanks for the advice im waiting to get money so they could do something :doctor: :glare: :sport: :excl:

what a nice little story

was it hard having to keep on feeding and taking care of her all day, and it must of been stressful for her to have all those casts in the way. :doctor:

holbie- I hope your little budgie willbe completly fine and that you can get the money

your vet said she was fine, not in any pain, yet willing to do something when you have some money???? If something needs doing, then it needs doing now, not sometime whenever. That does not make sense.

i does seem a little odd, like chirpy said if he stillhas full use of his leg and doesnt appear in any distress then i suppose it could wait a day or two but really, i think the bones (being very small and lightwight in birds) would fuse quite badly very quickly and could possibly lead to arthritus in the leg later in life or something. best to go back as soon as you can to be safe.
