Aww their georgeous, how do you have them in such a quiet nature,

Show type budgies are a quieter natured budgie than pet types as a rule :)

But I also handle my babies daily from the point of hatching.

Ahh, well that explains alot, i dont disturb my hens....

i checked today the opaline hen i have has got 8 egg's and 3 of them have the very distinct pink glow to it,

so i guess i got 3 infertile ones, which is good really...i dont want her to have to raise 8 chicks

5 is plenty :)

well, out of the 22 i have, 30% of mine are show's, but the other 70% are mostly the basic size of the pet/australian budgie...so its harder to breed seeing the Oz budgie's are alot more frisky and such

explains why the ones of mine that are laying are all show budgies :)

Kaz, they are SO pretty! Love the one sleeping in the seed container! :( (budgie of the month??) My previous budgie (who escaped :( ) used to take (dry) baths in her seeds regularly... i had to buy a seed container with a smaller opening because she just made SUCH a mess!!
