one night a cat came to the cage and she got caught in a string and............

How exactly did that happen...why was there a string hanging in the cage or aviary ?

stupid me did put a string in the cage and I thought it was safe and then.... I really don't know the story.... but I know that it was not a budgie-budgie death and I know it was not just a strangle death......... so..............
