Posted May 11, 200916 yr I was just in Daz's thread about the Nationals and it got me thinking about Victoria winning all the time and I remembered that Queensland is split in two... does anyone know why they did that? WA is alot bigger then Queensland and they just have the one? Anyone know?
May 12, 200916 yr Queensland was split into two due the fact they have many more clubs than Western Australia. There population centres are along the coast and a few inland as well. They can support the numbers of clubs currently in operation. Western Australia's main center of budgie activity is Perth. The state body in WA is made up of only three budgie clubs. May 12, 200916 yr Author but would Queensland combined have more clubs than the BCV? SQBBA have 12 affilliated clubs and I can't seem to find out how many clubs North and Central Queensland have... BCV has 22...
May 12, 200916 yr South Queensland currently have 12 clubs. we did have 13 but Gympie dropped out the beginning of last year. I don't know how many North Queensland has.
May 12, 200916 yr I think you will find that the distane, the NQLD clubs would have to travel. The year the national was held in Cairns, the NQLD club held the area show on the Saturday,as one of the clubs, was traveling 1000 ks in a round trip, to get there.
May 12, 200916 yr Well NQ is hold the nationals next year in Rockhampton... Dave and I will be driving up. It's only 6 - 8 hours
May 12, 200916 yr Well NQ is hold the nationals next year in Rockhampton... Dave and I will be driving up. It's only 6 - 8 hours Got room in the car ??
May 12, 200916 yr Well, i wouldnt take my birds for a 6-8 hour drive but it would definitly be worth a visit for sure
May 12, 200916 yr 6 - 8 hours in a car (airconditioned) might be better than 4 hours at an airport than 5 1/2 hour flight across Australia than another 1 hour in AAE than 3 hour drive to the venue. (last year )
