May 27, 200915 yr Author On the bright side no need to foster any out anymore. True. Six is managable. The one in the front is an opaline spangle one of Omelette's sons in the aviary and a daughter in the aviary Edited May 27, 200915 yr by KAZ

May 28, 200915 yr Author good choice, let her rest etc through winter then start her up again in mid spring She isnt old enough yet and thats why I said another 4 months i've decided to let mine breed through winter, half of my hens have nests and its getting too full-on for me to just take the boxes out for winter, so im gonna have to run the gauntlet and let them breed this winter then ill take the boxes out just before summer and let them take a holiday Winter breeding in colony style aviary is NOT a good idea. By The Way kaz, seeing that i do not know alot about baby's (mutation wise) my eldest have white fuzz and starting to get tiny pins in a row on his wing, is it possible for you to see what color it might be if i supply a picture sometime today? preety sure its a hen to White fuzz means opaline........ what colour are the parents ? May I suggest you post in your own topics about this kind of thing so you get other peoples input. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Have spangle chicks in the nestbox. Two at least have white pin feathers too so not green series. Omelette is cinnamon grey green .........her partner is grey green spangle and split for blue. Edited May 28, 200915 yr by KAZ

I have noticed these chicks are long and lanky looking.....so my plan of adding some length to the chicks seems to be working out.
