May 24, 200915 yr Author 6th chick hatched and very obviously a female Two eggs to go. Edited May 24, 200915 yr by KAZ
May 24, 200915 yr Author Yay! 1:30? No...this one arrived this morning. But we had one non fertile egg so it could have thrown the schedule out some
May 24, 200915 yr Author Is it Omelette that has 'the big egg', if it is has it hatched yet? No. It belongs to another bird. Candled yesterday reveals it is a double yolker and has twins. Whether or not they make it to hatching point we shall have to wait and see. It is rare they make it to hatching.
May 24, 200915 yr Author I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I have hatched twins before. http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....83&hl=twins
May 24, 200915 yr Author I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I just threw the large egg out ( from the other nest ...its not Omelettes ) ...as it had a hole in it. Checked contents of the egg and there were two embryos in there.

May 24, 200915 yr Author Yay! 1:30? No...this one arrived this morning. But we had one non fertile egg so it could have thrown the schedule out some Threw out another of Omelettes eggs, it had broken open and we lost a chick...........clumsy dad I think. One more egg to go, 6 chicks now makes 7 total. Sexed the chicks and we have 5 females and one male so far. Edited May 24, 200915 yr by KAZ
May 24, 200915 yr Seems like you get a lot of hens which is good since cocks are a lot easier to get a hold of than hens. In my limited experience at least. Sorry to hear you lost some of your eggs, good luck with your babies though can't wait to see them with feathers.
