this morning i went to see how the budgies & quails were going, and i saw my budgies (hen)

cere.

the brown is peeling off = out of breeding condition.

should i get it out? or just leave it there so when they are ready......

OR should i let my quails use it?

yum......quail eggs B) Joking!

:)

I think she means the nest box. How do quails get to the nest box?

If the nesting box is high up then the quails will not be able to get to it.

Yeah i know. I just wasnt sure if there was a joke i missed, or if she was serious and uhh.. yeah.

Must have missed the point..

Do you have your budgies in a breeding cage? If so I would remove them as she sounds like she is not ready to breed. As for the quails, they don't use breeding boxes. Perhaps try a google search on Quails and breeding them if that's what you want to do in the future.

quails can breed in upturned plant pots with abit of straw in them, They really dont need a nest.

They lay eggs all throughout the aviary and then roll them together into a nest.

i really wanted to talk about budgies.

i keep the nesting box there so in case she wants to breed.

do quails lay eggs like every day?

King quails do not fly, only when spooked. They will not nest in a budgie nest box.

King quails lay eggs every 2 days I beleive. and 16-19 days to hatch
