April 29, 200916 yr Author The gum leaves were washed thoroughly and so was the cage. The cage I built myself. Their is a few holes where perches went etc, Ill get a picture for you.
April 29, 200916 yr Author no but al the babies from this clutch have their flights crossed. Is it genetic? The male budgie did not survive the night.
April 30, 200916 yr It could be the black tape on the perch,I see it had been chewed,As Kaz mentioned the wings, the blue one siting next to the sick one, looked a bit suss, watch him.
April 30, 200916 yr Author 2 of those chicks are missing flights Macka it is just one of the many problems I have had this year.
April 30, 200916 yr I should have noticed in the nestbox that the albino had started losing feathers. The grey didnt lose them in the nest, i took it out of the box for a test flight and feathers went everywhere on its first attempt Thats when i knew something was noooot right! I know your pain! Now that i look back, i can see the YF albinos feathers werent right and there is a fallen one beneath it: Heres them both at varying times (havent taken pics of them after losing all feathers or after some grew back):
April 30, 200916 yr Author That is exaxtly like my birds If they hit somthing the feathers fall out like that so I end up having to pull them.
