Heya there guys my budgee Jacklin is very unweel at the moment, she has green droppings with small black c shapes in it. She is puffed up and very quite. She is also a bit wonky while sleeping on 1 foot. I did notice there spare feeder which i fill with water had gone septic as there where seeds which had starded to sprout. I have since removed the spare feeder and filled there water feeder with vitims. Can anyone please help me to the nature of this? I have wormer as weel should i add the to there drinking feeder with the vitims?

Your bird is very sick most likely from bacteria from the food container. Ecoli or salmonella .....it isnt a time for worming or vitamins. You need a vet ASAP. Meanwhile warm lamp next to the cage only while you wiat for the vet. You dont have time to waste I am afraid.

KAZ is right, theirs not much you can do apart from keeping him as warm as possible and calling a vet ASAP....

its most likely he has become sick from the spare water feeder, if it has sprouted seed in it....

Shes all better now thanks guys, she perked up the morning after. The vets around here are pretty useless when it comes to small birds, i lost boris 2 yrs ago because one

had no idea what so ever. Anyhow her droppings are now back to normal ( put an A4 sheet in the bottom of her cage to check), shes bitting again lol and back to her old self

keep your eye on her they can turn for the worse pretty quickly...

 

Had you fed her anything different than what you normally do?
