Posted April 25, 200916 yr heyy, most of you probbaly know me but to anyone who doesnt my name is Elise , i am 14 years of age. after ALOT of researching and time it has finally come to the day where i will breed my first pair :rofl: last night i caught them both from the avairy and placed them into their breeding cage. i had to start breeding now as the hen ( feathers) was laying off perch so i though ti might as well start breeding now. the hens name is feathers she is a albino hen masking opaline and the cocks name is sunshine ( because he is always playing in the sun) he is a yft2 or golden face fellow blue based cock split to clear body? well if you guys are interested in pictures and daily updates follow this thread lol. anyways so that is my good news . xx Elise xx

April 30, 200916 yr Author the second pair ( opal fire and cinderrella) have taken most interest into breeding box, i have seen them mate multiple times so fingers crossed. but as for the other pair (feathers and sunshine) they barley even talk to each other which is interesting as they were laying eggs in the avairy maybie a shock of a new enviroent? i was shocked today when i went in the avairy most of the budgie were landing on me and going on my finger very cute! Â what kind of vegetables would be best ? they are getting cod liver and wheat germ oil, mineral/iodine block,cuttle fish + i have given them brown rice and vegetables and native grasses but i want to know what would be best ? April 30, 200916 yr what kind of vegetables would be best ? Â I give my breeders a variety of different veggies, however i have noticed a consisitant selection of favorites. Silver beet, carrot and corn. Depending on how you prepare the food you can disguise other veggies in amongst their favorites etc...

May 19, 200915 yr Author just a question, i know budgies are suppost to lay eggs 1-4 days apart but how do you know if she has stoped laying ? is it that they have no egg bum? lol i guess im just a worried parent . cinderella laid on sunday and there has been nothing since. i check everysecond day so i dont belive im over stressing her. and i only check when she is out of the box to defecate, which for her is every 20 miniutes and may i remind you of the MASSIVE POO i really hope all goes well :bliss: fingers crossed the little egg hatches in 18-21 days. thanks for reading my post xx Elise xx  haha mum goes, wow the eggs tiny does it grow? She has stopped when there are no more eggs after two days apart.
