July 25, 200915 yr Wow Linda the birds are looking good after their trip And really really nice photos PS Great birds
July 26, 200915 yr Awesome birds Linda! I had my eye on the two grey green Spangles.... they are BEAUTIFUL!! great to see they traveled so well
August 8, 200915 yr Author More new birds (from budgie 1981 this time). They're all hens, I was very good this time and didn't go out looking for hens and come back with more cocks like I usually do. I've put pics in show cage so you can get a rough idea of the size of them and then added some other shots for fun Cobalt Dom. Pied 07 (going to pair her with Grandpa from pg1 of this topic when she's ready) with Mauve hen Cobalt Dom. Pied 09 (daughter of above) with Grey Opaline Grey Opaline 07 (thinking about pairing her to one of the grey brothers I got of Rain Man/Carl.....not sure which one?) Mauve Opaline 09 (wouldn't sit still in the show cage so this was the best shot I could manage) with Grey normal & 07 Dom Pied Grey 09 (I think she's going to turn out to be a very nice hen as she matures) Last but not least Grey Green Opaline 07 Hope you enjoyed the pics Edited August 8, 200915 yr by Linda_S
August 8, 200915 yr Lovely birds You'd have to be really happy with them. Your next breeding season is going to be real exciting
August 8, 200915 yr Author Thanks Kaz I went there to get some dominant pieds and dark factor birds with a preference for blue series so I don't think I did too bad and I am happy with them just wish I could've got more!
August 8, 200915 yr they are lovley very good buys i would put the best grey /ino with your ino hen and then the other brother with your opaline grey hen this way both lots of chicks will only be grey and the albino hens and cocks produced will also be masking grey this way you will not get blue suffusion showing through you will need to one day put blue back in or the albinos will end up looking dull but its good to start with your mauve hen i would put with a sky or cobalt dom cock if you have one as mauve dom s look beautiful but what ever you do they will be lovley that grey green hen to die for oh i just remembered your albino ended up being a lace wing lol but still put grey / ino with her you will get all albino chicks cocks and hens cocks being split for lacewing Edited August 8, 200915 yr by GenericBlue
August 8, 200915 yr Author Thanks GB, sadly no blue series dom pieds as yet to go with the mauve but she's only an 09 bird so I've got plenty of time to find her one Grey green is a beauty think about pairing her with the Cec Gearing line cock I got from RainMan Not sure which I'd consider the best of the Grey/ino bros they both have their strengths Grey/Albino Cock (dubbed B1, he's the lighter of the two) & Grey/Albino Cock (B2, a little darker than his bro)
August 11, 200915 yr Author I do have an Albino hen as well as the lacewing  More new birds (think I'm addicted) Sky Blue Greywing Cock 07 (any suggestions on recommended partners for greywings would be appreciated as I don't know a lot about them) In the show cage he was a little nervous and stayed in a kind of ducking position but you get the gist... Greygreen Opaline Greywing (I think) Hen 09 Grey Green Opaline Dominant Pied Cock
August 11, 200915 yr Sky Blue Greywing Cock 07 (any suggestions on recommended partners for greywings would be appreciated as I don't know a lot about them) My suggestion about this fella  is to send him to me
August 11, 200915 yr Author He's definitely a very pretty boy, even though I didn't really want to get into greywings I just couldn't leave without him, Sky Blue Greywings is a fav colour/mutation combo of mine. Any thoughts on the hen, Grey Green Opaline Greywing???????????????

I am trying to start a line of greywings and having a hard time getting stock  The hen is opaline but I would say dilute before I would say greywing. Could be wrong but thats how I see her.
December 1, 200915 yr Author Snapped this picture last weekend. The darker grey/albino brother from WA. Going to be pairing him with the Grey normal hen I got from WA when I got him.
