hey guys i have started a new project it is a set of 3 breeding cages that are all 500hx600wx400d

To do List:

make nestboxs

mount nestboxs

but cage front or wire on

make door

make trays

drill nesbox hole

Very Good. I like the casters on the bottom.

 

I'd add a front rail to each cabinet. Allow 15mm gap for a tray. The rail should be between 20mm - 25mm and can be used to position the cage front.

im not sure on perches left to right or back to front?

looks great!! perches are always best running accross the narrowest width to allow some flight.

Did you make this or is it a pantry cupboard you are converting ? Are you mounting the nestboxes externally ?

 

Cage fronts from Swan Valley Birds in Midland are 600 wide by 460 high...that would leave you 40 mm for the tray section at the bottom. Cage fronts are around $12 each roughly.

are those normal breeding cabinets?

They are about right size for breeding cabinets.

Looks about the same width as your setup mariah...go get a tape measure and measure yours, because you still havent managed to measure yours right yet. :wub:

thansk kaz i might go up and maurie at swan valley and see what he has and just fora look aswell
