April 22, 200916 yr very cute birds. Since the young are now fledged, you will need to remove the nesting opportunities. they will try and breed, and it will end up killing the hens as the strain on their imamture bodies is too much.
April 22, 200916 yr Author No worries Dave the young go out into a holding flight as soon as they are weaned and the parents will be rested and replaced with another lot that are maturing now.
April 23, 200916 yr Author Thanks for your comments guys here are some of the others. pair four green spangle dominant pied/cin,opaline,yf cock yfgrey opaline dominant pied hen dad mum, who was plucked as a youngster as also was the hen in pair one. being a good dad babies their other two fostered babies pair five cinnamon green/yf cock cinnamon opaline yf sky dominant pied hen dad mum their babies pair six green recessive pied cock greygreen spangle hen This pair was used as fosters as the cock bird is old and hadn't fertilised any of the eggs, the surprising thing is that the hen didn't play up on him unfortunately Their two foster babies Not a good photo Thats enough for now time for bed again cheers Jenny

May 3, 200916 yr Wow, you have some magnificent colours going on there. They look great. Are they all what you have bred yourself or have there been some outside purchasing? I hope to start breeding after my aviary is finished, I want to mainly breed for pretty colours at the moment.
