April 19, 200916 yr Yeah, that's definatly the sucky part, even if they lie and it's not a crest bred you should still get some crests...
April 19, 200916 yr Author Yeah, but not as many. Hmm. Does anyone here have 1 or 2 crest-breds they wouldn't mind selling? :boogie:

Found this ad on Trading Post............... CRESTED BUDGIES ALL, colors, all show birds. (03)97056194, NARRE WARREN No I didn't get the seller's details. Eeek. Never occurried to me. If I really had to I could contact the club and find out. I've seen that ad, thanks. I called a week ago. The guy has the cresteds listed in the Trading Post, on Petlink, and several other places. I asked if we could come around and look. He refuses to sell them privately, he was just telling everyone who rang that he'd be at the Peninsula bird show selling them next month. Highly frustrating . Why bother advertising in the Trading Post if you're not going to sell them??
April 20, 200916 yr Author Just chiming in with a name suggestion: Elvis and Priscilla! LOL I did think of Elvis, but not sure yet. I'm pretty sure I'm calling the hen Fluff .
April 20, 200916 yr Good luck with the naming. It took me 2 weeks and pages and pages of name lists before I was happy with a name for Phoebe!
June 2, 200916 yr I've never seen crested before they look so funny! I hope you post pictures if they breed successfully. I'd love to see their spikey babies. Summer
June 2, 200916 yr Just on the breeder, that put the ad in the Trading Post, would of done that, for one or two reasons,he doesn't want people coming to his home. or he is hiding something & if he is selling at a pet price, they may not be any good. But if you are breeding for size, don't breed to crests together. Breed normal to crest,& keep the best crest bred to put to a crest for the next season. Edited June 2, 200916 yr by Elly
June 2, 200916 yr Very cute, macka is correct above do not breed 2 crested together. I believe if you do a search you will find I believe it was MB or AV that bred her crested and I left a good link on there on breeding crests it is important to read it over before you decide to breed them.
