You have very pretty birds. I'm a big fan of blues. You could name the unamed budgie Bluey just so he doesn't feel left out and it doesn't require a lot of effort for the thought. :P

Is Minka a melanistic spangle? Great birds!

Nerwen it was great to see your flock again they are looking awesome :hooray:

Do you know what the yellow things around their eyes are? One of my friends birds - who also lives in an aviary - looks like that sometimes, she took them to one of Sweden’s best vets the first time she saw it, and he had never seen it before! They ran some tests but they never find out what it was. When I had my birds in an aviary they get that yellow thing too... I suppose it isn't dangerous but it would be interesting to know what it is.

i'll try to get piccies of the nameless ones this weekend and have a naming comp for them.

Dezdemona - not sure what you are meaning. I can see the eye lid which has a slight yellow hint to it - Storm is half blinking in that shot making it show more.

Kazzy- Yes he is. So his is brother Kazza and the nameless ones.

You could pattern after Dave and name them "Blue" and "Bluer"! :)

If you were there and saw their behaviour in a show cage, you would well understand the names dumb and dumber. it is no coincidence that Kaz has their sister, whose name is Schitzo.

Dumb, Dumber and Schizo, that is funny! :(

Nerwen, good to see some of the old birds, Poka's looking good. :(

thanks Daz. Poka is still a special little guy in the flock. I have ideas to use him in breeding this year (if i can set things as i want first)

It's funny. I sold / gave away my Recessive pieds when I started into the Show side as I thought no one would show them.. Now I am winning on the bench with my recessives. :P go figure :D

No I don't mean the blinking things, I mean a tiny yellow area around most of the birds eyes. It is not feathers but it is something else. Here is a photo where you can see it better. I don't know exactely what it is but as far as i know it isn't dangerous or something.
