Posted April 18, 200916 yr Hi Guys  . Just thought I'd share with you some of my other feathered kids. My baby, a blue Quaker named Munchie. He's attached to me and hates everyone else . He says "Good Boy" "Whatchya doin?" "Hello" and does an evil laugh. My other tame Quaker, Larry. He likes to sing "Come Fly With Me", says "Good Boy" "Bye Bye" Good Boy Larry" "Tickle" "Oy" and barks like a dog. Bonded breeding pair of Quakers, Google (blue male) and Yahoo (green female). 3 of last year's babies: Bonded breeding pair of Greencheeks- Bonsai (male) and Stickybeak (female). One of last year's Greencheek babies hiding in my hair: 2 of my 7 Cockatiels- Punk and Custard: Rubberneck, one of my Japanese Quails. I have King Quails too. Beaker the hybrid Lovebird- Peachface x Black Mask: Sunny the 6 year old male Sun Conure. (Anyone know of a healthy female for sale?) Ruby the 3 year old female Eclectus. She's my 3rd feathered baby. She's semi-tame and talks non stop. Plus a rabbit, 30 or so budgies, and a husband and 5 year old daughter .
April 18, 200916 yr Excellent pictures. Some amazing colourful birds. I really like sunny's and rubie's colours.
April 18, 200916 yr oh wow! the baby Quakers are gorgeous! The blue ones are so cute! lol Quails are so funny sometimes, my aunty used to have one that would follow my cat around My partner won't let me get one though and Ruby is so gorgeous!! I don't think I've ever seen a bird like her..
April 18, 200916 yr Author lol Quails are so funny sometimes, my aunty used to have one that would follow my cat around My partner won't let me get one though How come? They are very cheap and make great aviary floor cleaners. Yeah Quails are funny little things. I did have 2 pairs of the larger Japanese Quails, but the Melbourne heatwave in January killed one pair . Rubberneck's partner is a one-eyed male named Cyclops. My smaller King Quails are pretty good breeders too. Here they are plus some of their babies: Edited April 18, 200916 yr by Munchie's Mum
April 18, 200916 yr They look like mini chickens. I had a few chicks from king quails. I found IF the eggs hatch then the parents are pretty good parents. The chick would always follow the parents around everywhere and the parent would not let the chick out of sight. I always found that they just laid eggs everywhere and rarely incubated. I might try them again some time. Edited April 18, 200916 yr by Pearce
April 18, 200916 yr Oh I love them all! Each time I saw a new picture I thought, OMG, so beautiful and cute! They are all precious
April 19, 200916 yr lol Quails are so funny sometimes, my aunty used to have one that would follow my cat around My partner won't let me get one though How come? They are very cheap and make great aviary floor cleaners. They look like mini chickens. Probably because I want chickens and a duck and a kitten and now i need to replace my 6 missing budgies.. And because at the moment my aviary is walls and a roof leaning against his mothers shed lol we aren't putting it together till we move out, which hopefully will be very very VERY soon I'll get one one day, he can't really do much if i just happen to bring one (most likely more ) home.. He probably won't notice it anyway.. Pearce, that is exactly what I thought! lol they are so cute!
