Posted April 18, 200916 yr Well i havent been on for a long time so alot of you may have forgotten me anyway i sold up all my birds about 2 years ago to a very nice lady who was interested in breeding larger birds i then about 6 months ago went and stayed with her & the husband who is a retired carpenter and we spent the weekened building 4 breeding cages in anticipation for me getting back into breeding, Well the cages sat on our verandah for 3 weeks not getting used (Awaiting the move to our new house) And what should be at the new house but a shed around 3 x 3m, (was a meat shed) timber construction with walls solid halfway up then shade cloth on the top half with a tin roof that has had all the holes bloked up. So all i have to do it Fill in 2 of the walls to stop the Rain etc from comming in and its ready for Buisness. At the moment ive got 8 Breeding Cages and a couple of cages i plan to use for the babies when there ready to leave the parents. Ill upload some Pictures tonight of what the room looks like at the moment, Cheers Andrew P.s. if anyone has a Image of the Standard of perfection with the point on him? I know its in the standards book with the bird with the mainpoints to look for as the *ideal* budgerigar id appreciate it as i wish to hang a copy in the breeding room.
