I'm pretty sure she is a lacewing, but can anyone tell me how old she is please?

I was told she is possibly over 12 months of age but I can't tell. She certainly doesn't have a baby face.

And another question she doesn't appear to be eating...what can I do about that and how long will she go without food? Will she eventually decide to eat? She is very jumpy and unsettled. I've had her since monday afternoon.

Thanks :hi:

Her iris rings are present and quite bright.

It's the best photo I could do.

Just got a look at her legring it reads WA JAG X8 410, white writing on black ring.

Don't know what all that means so any help would be great.

You are in luck. As I am the ring registrar and have a master code list right next to me I can tell you her breeder is John Green of South West Budgerigar Club. The bird was hatched in 2008 which means it could be anywhere from 6 to 12 months old, but looks to be of 12 months to me.

If not eating & she is fit, she will eat when she gets hungry. But on the other hand,if she is poorly, you have a problem.

Chances are she was sold due to poor wing markings and also she seems to be an opaline lacewing. She looks in good condition.
