So many fledged babies that I had to put them in my larger kindie cage. Didnt take them long to learn how to get up the top.

I dont own Dumb and Dumber...they are my birds uncles...but they live in Sydney with Dave Mc Minn another forum member.

Did you and Dave get the 3 birds from the same breeder? YES I took Dave to visit a club member and breeder and we both bought birds while we were there.

ill be handrearing all my babie's, simply the fact that i would rather them be tame and go to a loving home that will spend time with him and treat him very well, where as i wouldnt really want them to be radical aviary bred bird's that will be treated like poo cause they are scared of people...

NO...I have no need to handrear as I breed to improve my show budgie stock. Handrearing is more aimed for the pet market.

 

Besides aviary birds are not treated like poo...........dont know where you get that idea. Aviary birds at least get space to fly andf never have clipped wings

explains why i dont talk to them at all 3/4 of my birds are from work (pet shop) cause i felt sorry for the poor things, 4 pairs which were paired up were in a cage per pair and were their for around 2-3 months, i eventually got sick of seeing it every morning so i gave the boss $15 each for them and gave them a chance, 2 of those pair's now have egg's, including my opaline hen who has 8 at the moment, and my type 2 yellow face opaline cobalt hen, father is a double factor spangle (green series) so im expecting some fantastic youngen's from them, although the cobalt hen is extremely small...and her 2nd egg has a bit of dried up blood on it, so im a bit worried as to maybe she is having troubles laying the eggs, i compared one of the blue opaline's(show budgie)'s egg's to the cobalt's egg, and the cobalt egg is VERY small in comparance

Twins ? Oh no Maybe its a dud egg and wont hatch
