I have a bird named nibbler. He is in the aviary, but he would have made a great pet. I love that baby bird nibbling.

Mother and daughter

Both Hen and Chick has a good length of mask. Nice Directional feathering over the eye. Chick seems to be postured well.

Very nice width of cere, depth of mask, top of skull. Wing markings are clean.

Father has a short mask and shows that the chicks has inherited his mask from the hen. I would try pairing the hen to a cock with a better mask than hers.

Lovely depth of mask on the greywing. Body colouring is excellent, no wash out. Wing markings are not as clean as the sky but would be interested to see how she goes through her moult. Already nice body feather texture around the wing butts.

Best chick so far. Very nice Width of cere, top of skull and depth of mask. Would be hard to beat on the bench in the nestfeather class. Well done.

I would suggest not to start in to show Budgerigars........ until I more up to intermediate.

 

Pearce you have some very nice beginnings. Do you belong to a club yet? If yes, are these chicks Club rung (i am hoping you are going to say yes)?

Yes I'm in Ipswich budgerigar Society and they are all rung with my rings.
