Posted April 13, 200916 yr Hi I've just added all my birds into the budgerigar program. I want to change some of the ring numbers, it does not let me. I highlight the ring number to delete it but a box pops up saying pedigree and family groups. I move the cursor over the ring number and click delete but nothing happens. How come I am unable to delete the ring number? Heres a picture. Thankyou.
April 14, 200916 yr Have you checked the operating manual I sent you ? Maybe you have to enter it again as a new entry and delete the old entry ?. Edited April 14, 200916 yr by KAZ
April 14, 200916 yr I found I can't delete a bird if they have young but have successfully deleted birds that have never bred before But then I am having trouble putting in my show details as I have one bird on my show bit and I can't work out how to update it... PAIN...

April 14, 200916 yr I dont have that program, but in my database experience, the ring number would be the unique identifier and is not able to be changed. If this is the case you would be better off deleting the record and redoing it.

April 15, 200916 yr What Problem... ???? To change a ring number, high light the ring and click on the GLOBAL Change and then change the ring number to what you want. You can not delete a bird that has offspring. You can kill it but not delete it. To delet a bird that doesn't have offspring. Go to the front sheet, highlight the ring number and click "Delete a Budgie" on the right hand side. Edited April 15, 200916 yr by Daz
April 15, 200916 yr Author Thankyou Daz I read the manual and realised what Global Change was. I have now edited the ring numbers. Thankyou.
