Posted April 11, 200916 yr Found this picture on the net and just wondering if anyone here has bred or owned/owns a halfsider and if they have pics? They're very cool shame they can't be purposfully bred.
April 11, 200916 yr Here is a half sider. One side is normal grey and the other side is skyblue with feather duster gene. Its quite amazing and he has actually had babies. I will not post the picture directly for copyright reasons but it can be viewed here. http://www.budgerigars.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=15673
April 11, 200916 yr Author You need to be a member to veiw the picture in the link you posted. Or at least thats what it told me when I tried to look at it.
April 11, 200916 yr Im sure to some this is a great blow and what not, but there is something to be said about the visual loss of a budgies eyes due to directional feathering and 'blow'. Im left looking for its face... Edited April 11, 200916 yr by Elly
April 11, 200916 yr One of our club members (Lin Pittick RIP) bred a halfsider (normal blue/green) and brought it to quite a few of our SWBC shows. We tried to tell him that they don't breed on but that didn't stop him trying Wishing now that I had taken some pics while I had the chance.

One of our members on here ( Feathers ) has a photo of that bird.
April 11, 200916 yr This goes off topic, but I would suggest NOT posting pictures from other websites on your posts they could be copyrighted and could land you into trouble. PUtting that it is copy righted doesn't means it is okay.
April 11, 200916 yr Elly can you please remove the picture from my post. Also the link to another forum aswell please. Thankyou. Edited April 11, 200916 yr by Pearce
