Hey all

Ive been growing seeds lately and I need some questions answered. I already know what the seed types are because I made a post about it earlier.

Heres one : Red millet

Canary Seed

Also. If I was to rip the seed head off the stalk, would the stalk die? Or regrow another seed head?

Thankyou.

I would like to know as well Pearce.

I have started putting the seed from the floor of the cages on a patch of ground i have dug up. I was thinking of cutting the stalk off about 2 inches above the ground when the seed head is ready.

Im just going by what I was told. It may not be canary seed. You may be right dezdemona it will be good if it is millet, my birds love it :)

Their is millet growing in the garden now at its full stage and its browning up and dieing. I will plant some more and see what its first stage looks like

as long as you dont rip the stem you get the heads regrowing but get like more than half keep a bit of the head so it can know where its gotta grow!

This is a old topic. I received many opinions and 90% of the people said the head will regrow again and again, I am currently testing it.

Hasnt ever regrown when I have had it planted.....maybe people think it does when their is a clump and others are growing out of the same base plant clump.
