Posted April 4, 200916 yr What would you get if you cross a lutino cock and an albino hen? what about the other way around?
April 4, 200916 yr The male would have 2 ino genes, and the female one, so all the chicks would be ino. They would also all be green series, or lutino, unless the lutino parent was split to blue, then you would get 50% albinos. If it was the other way around, it wouldn't make any difference in this case, because you aren't working with any non-ino genes. Tha'ts my guess .
April 4, 200916 yr It doesn't make any difference which way round they are paired. If the lutino is split for blue the chicks will be half albino and half lutino. If the lutino is not split for blue all the chicks will be lutino
April 4, 200916 yr Author oh I see and that would be because the lutino is a green bird which is dominant and the albino being a blue bird is recessive right? and that's why you get all lutinos if the lutino is not split for blue.. I get it! Thank You Edited April 4, 200916 yr by Cory
December 6, 201014 yr lutino cock as mate: lutino cock x albino hen => lutino/blue (a.k.a. lutino/albino) Pair one of those lutino young back to an albino. Or pair such a young lutino cock back to a blue hen: lutino/blue x albino => lutino/blue + albino Hope this is helpful lutino cock/blue x blue hen => green cock/blue, ino + blue cock/blue, ino + lutino hen/blue + albino hen
