hey all i breed a male normal green spilt recessive pied to a hen recessive pied and i got 2 normals

and one is a hen

and one is a male

will any be spilt recessive pied ??

You will get 50% rec pieds and 50% normals split rec pied.

So all chicks will be split rec pied shannon

No problem shannon. Did you get any other chicks from the pair? Anymore fertile eggs?

Any pics?

The parents are in the aviary? Where is the other baby?

who knows? a spilt to a normal produces normals and splits. Both chicks could be normals. You won't know Until you pair them back to a recessive.

Don't pair splits to normals if you want recessives.. too much waste.

Daz I beleive a normal/recessive paired to recessive gets 50% recessives and 50% normals/recessives. So their would be no normals that are not split?

Yeah shannon both babies will be split rec pied. A normal/rec pairing x rec pairing = 50% rec and 50% normal/rec.

You would not get any normal babies that are not split ,

Sorry I miss read the post last night.. I thought it was split to normal..
