Posted March 31, 200916 yr Hi everyone, Do any of you have a source for shallow feed dishes? I've been looking for some for my budgies to feed them a veggie and sprouted legume 'mash' I've made up but all the dishes are so deep, I have to really fill the dish to the top for my budgies to be able to eat from it without having to stand in the dish to eat it!
March 31, 200916 yr Oval coloured plastic shallow feed dishes ( sold as bird baths ) from Crazy Clarke's if you have that store there..... $1.00 each. Shallow white ceramic sauce dish from Coles Supermarkets....around $1 each. Plastic disposable plates ( strong and reusable many times ) from woolworths supermarket just over $2 a pack of 6 or more  Edited March 31, 200916 yr by KAZ
March 31, 200916 yr Garden centre, really small pot saucers. Can get them palm of your hand size. I use them in all my breeding cabinets for soft food
March 31, 200916 yr We use ceramic saucers or you can also get bird baths from the cheap shops which are great for that. They are oval in shape and about 1 1/2 cm deep.
March 31, 200916 yr $2 shop I got little plastic soy sause dishes for 50c each and each cage gets one or two of those in them, they are also dishwasher safe
March 31, 200916 yr lol Just the question I was going to ask.. All my boy's (and Laila) have a weird obsession with chewing their food containers, So I was wondering if it's okay if they do it? Mum's had me making little wooden trays cos she is convinced her birds are trying to kill themselves.. They actually eat their containers..
