Sunday is the Riverina Budgerigar Diploma Show, Have 20 birds entered and have 19 cages whoops.

Been busy preparing them but all done now.

I have been spraying them down which I found very hard when I started with 30 birds but I am now down to 19 as some have lost tail feathers etc.

I have them on Probotic to get them ready.

it doesn't matter if I don't do well because it is a learning thing. But I would hope to do a bit okay fingers crossed.

I do have a couple of nice birds so we will see.

How often do they lose those tail feathers, once or twice a year? If so, your percentages sound about right...?Maybe they don't like being sprayed...What with?

Water mainly.

Most times when they lose a tail feather it would of moulted out any way whether I was going to a show or not.

Splat - You should try them on Spark, both before and after a Show for a few days. Spark is a electrolyte product from vetafarm, I used it it for the first time last year and works well.

Got to agree with Heath. I placed mine on Sparks on Wednesday for tomorrow's ABS Show. It does help.

Wrong Macka - the 2 you mentioned are Judging at our diploma show in 2 weeks. I believe James and Trevor were judging at Riverina today.

Who were the winners on the day,who ever the judges were,somebody must of won.

I put then on spark last year and they had energy galore wouldn't sit still so now I just give it to them after the show to pick them up because a couple of showers ask me what they were on and I said spark and they said no wonder they have energy and advise mr to give it to them after the show to pick them up.

Ray Wilson got Grand Champion with a op Sp cock I think it was Dk Green

G Chandler got the Diploma with a grey green cock very nice bird
