Posted March 12, 200916 yr G'day all. I'm Steve. I have 3 Budgies - George ( who is Definately George ) , Mildred ?? and Maxine ?? George & Mildred came to me as a pair, but when I wasn't too sure about Mildred's sex I was offered another female - Maxine. I'm almost certain Mildred and Maxine are girls but even if they're not the names are to stick regardless ! The 4 of us have been together for almost 2 months now, and George who is finger tame is my fave. Maxine likes to sit on a plastic coathanger and go for rides around the room, but she doesn't quite trust my finger yet. Mildred is just stubborn - but does end up following the other two if I have returned them to the cage. Mildred is missing a huge chunk of her cere. Thats how she came to me. I'm wondering if that was from a flying injury, or from some form of abuse from another bird or from a human. ..... Man is the cruellest animal .
March 12, 200916 yr Welcome to BBC , if you need help with sexing your budgie we do have a forum for that and you will just have to post pictures of the cere without a flash but in good lighting and we can help you out that way. Also in the FAQs there is an article with pictures on how to sex your budgie.
